The Second Imperative to Wisdom is to Accept it. Acceptance provides Conviction to see the choices and path of wisdom through to its reward. Proverbs 23.23 says "Get the truth and never sell it" We need to believe that what wisdom offers us in in fact true.
1. Acceptance ends the debate within ourselves. We should not believe that is presented to you but once you accept something only then can you benefit form it. It is a tragedy to see someone second guess a good idea into failure.
2. Acceptance of the Lord's Wisdom gains the favor of God. We have a glorious shortcut in that once we accept the Bible as a whole we no longer have to wonder if we should accept it's truth. We can simply act on his will for our lives. We we do this I believe that there is a supernatural favor that he gives to us.
3. Acceptance causes your steps to be firm and confident when you are making the tough choices that wisdoms inevitably demands. What a tragedy to decide on a course of action only to give up and second guess yourself as soon as it gets hard.
