Letter from a Parent

I got this email today. I am grateful for each time the Lord involves me in His reaching out to people.

Dear Scott:

I hope that you have a chance to read this, I am the mother of a wonderful young man, that met you nearly 2 years ago.

January of 2007 he was in the Juvenile facility in Fargo ND, over a weekend, and we live in Sauk Centre MN approximately 2 hours away, and unable to visit him, he said the "police" were unfair, which it turned out that the Judge determined that he had done nothing wrong accept make a wrong turn and got nervous when the "police" stopped him, late at night, and searched his car without cause, and found a small amount of "white powder" in a bag, turned out to be aspirin. I was getting ready to go on a Medical/Spiritual MissionTrip to Guatemala when this happened. Anyway, Shane met you that weekend, and brought home your CD-Someone Is Praying for You, we have listened to it, so often that I think it is starting to wear out. Shane is a terrific person, and Graduated from High School this past Spring and is going to College at Thief River Falls Comm College, and is just loving it. Shane had been in trouble when he was younger, and was having a hard time earning the trust of some of the community, and his Father (Chief of Police). After listening to the CD, we show our Love more each day, and make sure that we always let the other one know that we Love them and how proud we are of him. I credit you and your work for this. Thank you. I have even shared the CD with friends who are having difficulties with their children, and because of the very first song "Someone Is Praying for You" we all make sure we tell our Children everyday that we Love them and are there for them no matter what. I believe that is what was the turning point for Shane, just knowing that I believed in him, and that no matter what I am alway there for him. The relationship between he and his Father has even improved, to the point that they call each other several times aweek just to talk. Shane is even talking about going to Guatemala with me in the future after he finishes his education, this is something that I have started to do once a year.

Again I would like to say Thank You, I have wanted to do this for quite sometime, and can not sing your praises enough to anyone who will listen. If you are ever in this area, please contact me, I would love to meet you.

Thank You
